- Presented day long tutorial on Linux System Administration at HECC (Hoosier Educational Computer Coordinators) conference Nov 18, 2010.
Am repeating as chair of poster session at PyCon, Atlanta, March 11-13.

- I gave a talk on Python at NECC (National Educational Computing Conference) in Washington DC, June 29, 2009. The Python Software Foundation also gave me a $500 grant to support my talk.

- Presented talk "Python for Linux System Administration" at Ohio Linux Fest, Columbus, OH, Sept 26 to about 300.
- Attend HECC (Hoosier Educational Computer Coordinators) conference Nov 13, 2009. I presented a talk - "Introduction to Linux Shell Scripting".
Attended PyCon (national Python programming conference) in Atlanta, Feb 25-28. I'm one of the organizers of the Python in Education Birds of a Feather session. I was also the organizer of PyCon's first ever poster sessions.

- I am also accepted for to give a talk at NECC 2009 in Washington, DC. The Python Software Foundation (PSF) has given me a grant of $500 for expenses

- Served on the organizing committee
Organized a panel discussion "Schools & LUGs - Pitfalls & Potential"
Attended a day long NCOSE summit on Open Source in Education.
- Attended Ohio Linux Fest, Columbus, OH, Oct 10-11. Met and spoke with Jon "maddog" Hall and other leaders in open source software.
- attended HECC (Hoosier Educational Computer Coordinators) conference Nov 14, 2008. I presented a talk - "Introduction to Linux Shell Scripting". I'm also down to present the same talk again this year, in November, 2009.
- With Anita Bates, I was accepted to present two half day workshops at the 2009 ICE (Indiana Computer Educators) conference, Jan 28, 2009 **Cancelled due to weather**
Attended PyCon (national Python programming conference) in Chicago, March 27-29. I'm usually one of the organizers of the Python in Education Birds of a Feather session. I also hung around for a programming sprint, March 30-31, working on the CherryPy webserver.
For the coming year I will be the coordinator of a new PyCon feature - an educational poster session.
Certifications, etc
Took exams to renew my Linux Certified Professional basic certification, Sept 2008. I should get my level 2 certification this school year also.

signed contract with Manning publishers to produce a revision of The Quick Python Book for Python 3 on 11/22/2008. 2/3 of MS has passed initial review as of 05/15/28. Publication scheduled for November, 2009.
Curriculum Planning
